Over the years, Dr. Shim has tried many different whitening products and techniques. Although there have been many fantastic results, whitening can be unpredictuable at times. Procedure

The first step in the whitening process is impressions. We will take full impressions of your upper and lower teeth. These impressions will be made into custom bleaching trays. The trays will fit onto your teeth perfectly so there is a small possibility of gum damage from the bleaching solution.

Initially, your teeth will need to be conditioned for bleaching. This is a relatively short and simple in office appointment that will last about an hour.

The second step is to wear the trays, with a whitening gel, at night for two weeks. Because our trays are specially made, they are very comfortable and easy to wear.

The third step is the final in office appointment. This is where the whitening truly shows. You will experience a significant change in your smile. Your smile will look brighter and younger! We will take before and after photos so that you will be able to compare the amazing transformation.

Bleaching only works on natural teeth and may not be effective in all cases. We will inform you as to the potential whitening for your specific situation.
